The History of the Rapha Festive 500

The Rapha Festive 500 debuted in 2010 as a challenge for those who wanted to combine their passion for cycling with the special holiday season. The challenge was conceived by British cyclist Graeme Raeburn, who decided to ride 500 kilometres between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. The challenge quickly gained popularity among the cycling community around the world and became an annual tradition.

What is the Rapha Festive 500?

The Rapha Festive 500 is a challenge to ride 500 kilometres over eight days, from 24th to 31st December. The challenge can be undertaken in any way you like – on the road, off-road or even on a stationary bike. The most important thing is to achieve the goal and share your experiences with other cyclists.
